DO YOU LOVE BASEBALL? smile emoticon Join us on Wednesday, April 13th at 7:00pm for our next History Lecture on Toledo's Baseball History featuring John Husman.

John has been researching and writing about baseball history for more than 30 years. He has published more than 100 articles and book reviews on baseball history and biography. He has appeared on two PBS baseball documentaries and has spo...ken to groups on baseball history from coast to coast, and often speaks locally. He co-authored Mud Hens Memories, and wrote the history, Baseball In Toledo. He has been a member of the Society for American Baseball Research for 33 years and is a past Chair of their Nineteenth Century Committee. He founded and served as President of The Great Black Swamp Frogs Base Ball Club of Sylvania, Ohio for ten years and was a founder and the first President of the Vintage Base Ball Association (VBBA). He presently serves as Historian for the Toledo Mud Hens. John and his wife Sandy and have two adult daughters and eight grandchildren and reside in Sylvania.

The lecture will take place at the Monclova Community Center (Ottawa Room) located at 8115 Monclova Road - just 3 miles West of St. Luke's Hospital. Admission and parking are FREE. An elevator is located at the west entrance to the building. Hope to see you there!
