Fall on the Farm:
Join us for Fall on the Farm to take a
step back in time and help prepare the farm for the winter
ahead! This special day will be filled with activities such as
shelling corn, apple packing and cider pressing. Children can
help dig potatoes, make pumpkin leather, roll a pie crust and
churn butter. Other popular hands-on activities include making
a corn husk doll, decorating a pumpkin, and participating in
an old-time spell down. Guests can help dry apples, grate soap
and make parched corn. Based on century old liturgy, a Harvest
Home Service will be recreated in St. Mark’s Church with short
services throughout the day.
Scout Day:
In
honor of Scouting all Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts get in free
this special day. (Scout must be in uniform or
present their Scout card.)
